The "GPDO Part 14 Classes A and B - LDC Appeal Decisions" document provides the conclusions, summaries, and decision notices for LDC appeal decisions relating to Part 14 Classes A and B of the GPDO (i.e. "solar equipment on domestic premises" and "stand-alone solar equipment on domestic premises").
This document currently contains 3 appeal decisions (3 "LDC Appeals" and 0 "Enforcement Appeals"), for which the conclusions are as follows:
January 2012 - Code P14CAB-004 (appeal dismissed):
- For the installation of solar panels on a flat roof, A.1(a) does restrict the amount by which the solar panels can protrude above the level of the flat roof.
- It is not possible as a single operation to erect an extension under Part 1 of the GPDO with attached solar panels under Part 14 of the GPDO.
[Note: In my opinion, the above conclusion is questionable].
June 2011 - Code P14CAB-002 (appeal dismissed):
- [Note: To view these conclusions, please log onto the website as a member].
July 2010 - Code P14CAB-001 (appeal allowed):

- Any of the above conclusions marked with a "(*)" contradict other appeal decisions. The "Reference Section" within the above document indicates how many appeals have supported and contradicted each particular conclusion.
