DCLG has published the following government response to the consultation on the drilling of boreholes for groundwater monitoring for petroleum exploration (which ran for 6 weeks from 05/03/2015 until 16/04/2015), along with a further consultation relating to petroleum exploration (which runs for 6 weeks from 13/08/2015 until 24/09/2015):
