The Part 1 of the GPDO - GENERAL Appeal Decisions document has been updated to include 3 additional appeal decisions relating to householder permitted development legislation, for which the conclusions are as follows:
July 2021 - Code a01318 (appeal dismissed):
- The term “eaves” does apply to the edge of a flat roof. (*)
[Note: The rear extension has a pitched roof at the sides, rising up to a flat area (with an edge at the rear)]. - This appeal decision provides an example of where it was concluded that significant weight should be attached to the advice within the “Permitted development rights for householders - Technical Guidance” document. (*)
