Consolidated Version of the Legislation:

  • The "Explanatory Memorandum" (link) to SI 2021 No. 1464 states the following:
    - "The General Permitted Development Order was consolidated in 2015. This is the twenty-fifth amending instrument to the General Permitted Development Order. There are no current plans for a consolidation.".
  • The "GPDO 2015 (Consolidated)" document on the Planning Jungle website has been updated to incorporate the above SI 2021 No. 1464, and currently incorporates a total of 25 SIs (i.e. the original SI + 24 amendment SIs).
  • Note: The "Explanatory Memorandum" refers to a "twenty-fifth" amendment SI, whereas the Planning Jungle website has identified 24 amendment SIs. It should be noted that article 1 of the above SI 2021 No. 1464 includes a list of amendment SIs, but one of these SIs does not amend the GPDO 2015 (i.e. its inclusion within this list appears to be an error).
